Structural Glazing

Exclusive facade appearance

Structural glazing facades convey a delicate appearance that is very impressive. From the outside, the facade looks like a homogeneous glass surface enveloping the building with any visible frame structure. Structural glazing allows large-scale glass facades to be realised – ideal for exclusive and sophisticated architecture.

  • In structural glazing facades, the glass panes are installed on a metal structure directly behind the facade. A silicon adhesive holds the glass in the framework. Structural glazing facades have an extremely slender look and appear lighter than conventional glass facades. They allow the use of glass on a large scale to ensure a homogeneous, coherent look. In Germany, structural glazing facades need a building inspectorate approval on a case-to-case basis.
